Currently, Marshmallow is having Bluetooth connection problems. Many people reported calls dropped off, bad voice quality and contact corruptions with various infotainment systems and Bluetooth headphones.

  2. Sydni Maggio says:

No it doesn't. Not sure how anyone else offered any kind of valid opinion before it was released without being a journo with very privileged early access, but I have both an N5 and N5X sitting right in front of me right now, the back on the 5X is, slightly annoyingly, very smooth and not as easy to grip as the N5. That being said it is a lovely device and I'm very happy with it.

  3. Jamaal Hills says:

I had contacted Google support multiple times and each time they would have me run through their gauntlet of tasks and ultimately do a factory reset. I asked for a replacement and they refused claiming that being slow was not defective.

  4. Leone Sanford says:

I like android OS but i am impressed a lot with I phone's hardware, especially with a good battery life.
Should I go for note 5 or nexus 6P or I phone 6S?

  5. Winfield Senger IV says:

So you tell them "I've done the factory reset, the phone still locks up and won't respond, I can't use it". After factory reset, with those symptoms, the phone is 100% defective, I can assure you of that. The rest is up to you, getting your money back or a new phone.

  6. Kameron Brown says:

Dude, I have this phone since mid march, second hand and it works fine. Actually I can't be happier of my purchase. My recommendations to you: update the phone, wipe all the crap you have in it and move on, if the issue continues, let me tell you that your phone is defective

  7. Mariela Spinka says:

Your phone is defective 100%. I have 4, 5 and 5x. 5x is faster than any of them, it's not laggy whatsoever – quite the opposite. I find it surprising that you didn't doubt you had defective phone. Maybe you should stay away from technology all together?

  8. Miss Yazmin Schinner says:

What an ultimate moron company LG should be to make phone non usb-compatible like Nexus 5X? Yes you can NOT join it to your PC? Can you imagine that?

  9. Russell Fisher says:

The 5 was AWESOME. The 5x is awful. I am wondering if reviewers actually spend time with these devices. I will say the camera is decent and the fingerprint readers is great but the phone's performance is actually worse than the 5. My 5x is so laggy its painful to use. About every other day it locks up completely and doesn't respond for about 5min until it reboots.

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS THING!

  10. Gertrude Smith PhD says:

Seems the cons are a bit iffy…2GB RAM, starting 16GB…don't see those being 6S cons. Granted I'd agree 4/5 is a fair assessment but those bullet point items aren't really that bad.

  11. Miss Pink Brown II says:

While I appreciate your input on the possibility of needing to move, quickly, a 20gb worth of eBooks to your phone; it's a one time effort Vs. Daily charging, and that can still be done without USB cable assuming there's room in your Nexus 5x to have more books than 200 people could possibly read during their long long long life time. Restoring the OS can be done much easier through hardware reset by pushing power & volume concurrently. Either function is rarely needed to justify wasting one of the most important & soon to become ubiquitous wireless charging function. And why waste all our practical qi wireless chargers, that are built into our cars, furniture, & lamps, because some Google idiots told us they solved the biggest problem of cable orientation! No more 50-50% chance of getting it inserted right!! And you can see the result of this Nexus success by the miserable sales of this backwards, miserable & primitive 7th generation Nexus. Which, by the way, dropped 25% in price during its 1st month release, just before the busy X-Mas season, where all previous ones were sold out

  12. Eldridge Brakus says:

I'd be thrilled if I got a full day of heavy use.

On wifi 100% of the time, 20% brightness, excellent cell reception and only using Chrome and Facebook gets me about 12 hours off the charger with about 3 hours SoT. Anything that is intense like GPS, games, video, audio, mobile data, areas of weaker signal, etc drops it much faster.

  13. Savanna Goldner says:

Your camera review page of Nexus 5x is flawed. How can you not mention thst the 5x lacks optical image stabilization? Or do you not know this? This one single fact is what massively separares this camera from phones which DO have OIS, like the Nexus 6p. Dear oh dear.

  14. Kelley Reichert says:

I have to believe review units are different in their hardware or in the amount of attention given to calibration. None of the reviews I've seen mention how warm the Nexus 5x screen is compared to the 5 or 6P. Yet, when you read forum discussions it is a widely discussed topic. This tells me that the color accuracy must not be as accurate as the reviews are claiming.

  15. Christiana Goldner says:

Without a cable, how to you put your 20+GB collection of ebooks, music, ece from your computer to your phone? The clous isnt an option, as my stuff is DRM free and if i had a data cap, it would take months to download. Theres wifi, but you would need to upload the stuff first, witch with american speeds, would take forever.

Or what about putting a new ROM on the phone, which is easy on the nexus? Or restoring the OS if something terrible happens to an upgrade? Both of those are done via USB.

  16. Kaleb Murray DDS says:

I'd rather they omit all usb ports & keep the most practical wireless charging that once one gets used to; there's no going back; regardless of cable orientation. I love to simply put my phone on my office, car, or bedside Qi charging stand & let it charge while facing me. Everything else can be done wirelessly & in the cloud anyway..why invent a new wire that Apple implemented years ago when we had the great alternative of No wires !? It's a puzzle, considering how cheap it's to add a thin copper wire inside any phone to make it charge wirelessly. I'll never buy a phone without the wireless charging or the option to add a battery cover to make it Qi compatible like the LG-3 & most older Galaxy phones G-3,$,& 5 & Notes. since the inexpensive $199 Nexus-4 Google took the lead & Championed the wireless charging & made it available on each & every phone they made including the Nexus 7 Tablet 2013. But now that we can follow Apple 5 year old invention of omni cable orientation; they dropped the ball to follow an old but great idea for it's time. Next iPhone will have Wireless Charging & Google is going to change their story of the idiotic reasoning of omission on the 5X where there's much room inside & the right material to make it work for pennies. But solving old cable problems by copying others & Going backward might be the new Google strategy. So 2015 Nexus 5x = 2013 Nexus 5 in ram but wastes our investment in all the Qi wireless Chargers we have and love.

  17. Vivian Carroll says:

Apple does not make all the apps that are sold on the App Store

  18. Ms. Virgie Nienow DDS says:

I tough only old peoples was still using sound notification.

  20. Harley Davis says:

The slowing down and lagging and freezing sounds like user error, not a failure on the part of google. You are probably installing apps that are causing issues for your phone.

  21. Louisa Kassulke says:

maybe you should return it, sounds defective

  22. Harry Shields says:

DO NOT buy this phone. It actually works great for the first few weeks. The interface feels like butter. However, it completely starts slowing down, lagging and freezing. Especially the camera is starts showing up as a black screen and the only way to recover from that is to reboot the phone. Another issue with the camera is that sometimes the photos you take never end up being saved. This issue has been acknowledged by Google and the message boards are full of complaints. However, no solution even after 4 months. It's a phone that you will love and end up hating.

  23. Abigayle Swift says:

Black. None of them are soft touch and as far as I've read (and I've been keeping tabs) was never rumoured to be. It does seem like a slightly odd omission though because, more than any other spec, that could be a key turn-of for some: It's not as easy to hold securely as the N5 was, and I cannot believe it would have added THAT much to the price, but there you have it.

  24. Mrs. Kelsie Doyle Sr. says:

Maybe this defect report and forum discussions will clarify the issue. It's a known issue and Google has admitted as much. There are no apps that I have not had on my Nexus 4 or Nexus 5. Sad to see people like you just dissing people who are only trying to get the word out to prevent others from wasting their money.

  25. Destini Walter says:

Which color did you get? I read from somewhere (not sure if it's true, though) that the black Nexus 5X's back is soft like the original N5
