We expected to see a brand new iPad Air 3, but instead Apple surprised us with the brand new iPad Pro with a 9.7-inch display.
It features the same display technology as the larger iPad Pro that launched last year including Apple Pencil support and an upgraded spec across the board.
But will it be cheaper than the original iPad Pro? Apple hasn’t confirmed the price for the UK yet, but we know the US price and it’s a touch cheaper than the original Pro.
Apple
In the UK the 32GB 9.7-inch iPad Pro will cost £499, the 128GB £619 and the 256GB version will be £739.
From Apple you can buy it in silver, space grey, gold and rose gold. There are also a bunch of new accessories alongside it as well, but pricing is unclear yet. Pre-orders begin March 24 and you’ll receive it on March 31.
Vodafone
Vodafone has confirmed to techradar that it will be stocking the brand new 9.7-inch iPad Pro, but so far there’s no news of pricing or availability.
EE
EE is stocking the iPad Pro 9.7-inch version, but there’s no word on pricing yet from the UK’s biggest mobile network. It will be up for pre-order from March 24.
Other retailers
When more retailers reveal pricing and availability details, we’ll be sure to update this list.
