    I know how you feel. If I had the money right now I probably would've just dropped the cash and said what the hey. But let's be real for a minute, it's extremely early days for VR. The Rift and the Vive are right at the beginning of their competition with each other, you could be looking at another VHS VS Betamax battle, or HDDVD vs Blu-Ray, and you might end up with the Betamax and HDDVD player of virtual reality.

    If the Vive was nowhere near close to release I could maybe have been persuaded to hit the Buy button on a Rift, but we're talking a month or two at most now, and as soon as the competition heats up prices will drop precipitously. Early adopters will be subsidising people who join later, and as the PS4K has shown, you have to be wary about going all-in on a format because they might just release a refreshed version 18 months after initial release with high res/refresh OLEDs or lower latencies for example.
