  1. Mrs. Valentine Hoeger says:

Unless the edge has a purpose then what is the point if those edges on the S6 and S7 Edge? Those edges ruin the design for me. I'll never see the appeal of those we Edges. Thankfully Android is about choice as well as design and I choose not to buy Samsung's Edge phones and probably any future phone they make.

  2. Edyth Mayer IV says:

You should try the BlackBerry Priv instead. The curved glass is useful there, unlike Samsung's terrible use of it.

  3. Miss Calista Roberts says:

But those swipes do not need a curved screen.

  4. Prof. Jane Ryan DVM says:

I use a BlackBerry Priv that has the dual curved glass, and it has a Productivity Tab that works better than Samsung's implementation of the edge swipe gesture. Believe it or not the curved glass makes the gesture easier to do. If the glass was completely flat, it'd be unclear where to start the swipe in gesture. I like being able to peek at my BlackBerry Hub, my Tasks to-do list, my upcoming calendar entries, and contacts from a simple swipe-in gesture. BlackBerry did a better "edge" device than Samsung did, despite Samsung selling BlackBerry the panels, and making the "edge" devices long before BlackBerry did.

  5. Armand Heller says:

I like my phones how I like my women… Curvy!

  6. Alden Kuvalis says:

I meant the Note 4 Edge. I realize that most (even Samsung?) has taken to calling that model of the Note just the Note Edge. I have the flat Note 4 as well. Both are still very capable devices and will handle a 200 Gig micro SDXC card. Getting back to the S7 Edge; without a case it's difficult for me to pick it up from a flat surface given the sloping sides. I currently use a hybridized combination of a Seidio belt-clip holster and a Verizon sanctioned shell back plate for when I want to clip the phone on my belt. I removed the molded screen protector from the S7 Edge about an hour ago because it was lifting and would not allow for smooth touch screen operation. Hope I haven't over-complicated the matter.

  7. Harmony Farrell says:

Do you mean the Note 4 or Note Edge?

I don't find the S7 Edge slippery at all. Personally I can't stand screen protectors so can't comment.

  8. Miss Edwina Ankunding says:

It's clear Samsung is where the smartphone innovation is these days. Apple has all but given up since the iPhone 6.

  9. Jeff Willms says:

I don' get it… It's so unpleasant to hold and use. It looks awesome but it's a hype that won't last long. When more or less everybody will get to have the two experiences they'll go back to flat screens.

  10. Vivian Reichert says:

I hope this is true. Either get with it or go to another phone. I will never understand how anybody woudl prefer flat after using the Note Edge. I just hope the Note 7 Edge is actually like the Note Edge in terms of functionality. Having that extra screen helps a lot. It can be tricky sometimes to hold (Note Edge I mean) since its wide but I'll take that compromise anyday given the huge functionality I get with the Egde screen

  11. Mathew Stamm says:

I am looking so forward to the Note 7 being curved handling the S7 edge at my carriers kios. The feel, handling, appearance was Brilliant.

  12. Vicenta Nitzsche says:

I bought an S7 Edge to acclimate myself to the 'Edge'. The Note 4 Edge is so much different from the S7's take on the 'Edge'. Need a good case just to be able to pick up the phone; the sloping sides make it a little slippery. Just try getting a good screen protector to fit a curved screen. I've tried several on the S7 Edge; the surface defies an airtight, flush and uniform fit. A screen protector on a Note 7 Edge is going to be a study in compromise. Still, I do want to get a Note 7 for the purported capabilities of the upcoming device. I'd like to have the '7' for my end of summer holiday to run through the first full week of September.

  13. Mrs. Layla Kreiger II says:

I really really hope this dual curved rumour is false. I detest the form over function ridiculousness of fashion. We're only just beginning to get back to slightly thicker phones with proper batteries, and now along comes this farce. I've been waiting since last summer to replace my phone after Samsung in their infinite wisdom decided not to release the note 5 in Europe. I've had to take my phone apart to replace the worn out battery, and a cracked screen as well now, so I need a flat version of the note 7.

  14. Elna Jakubowski says:

The note edge was a far better idea, as the edge was additional to the flat section of screen. The flat bit had the same dimensions and resolution of the note 4, so the edge did not compromise the main screen. It truly was an extra benefit. The S7 edge loses a good width of screen to its edges, which is an entirely different and far worse proposition.

  15. Solon Wunsch says:

I find myself using the Edge's sideswipe panel more frequently, for quick access to things, as I go. I'm in my 5th day of using the S7 Edge as my 3rd phone line. I've gotten to like the device quite a bit and believe that the Note 7 Edge will be a winner and just what I need for my primary line.
