Following multiple rumours about a Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite being in the works, it appears the prices of these devices have leaked online.
A link on Slovakian retailer Datart’s website listed a phone called the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite with a price of €669 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite was listed at €609. A straight currency conversion of these prices would price the phones at £565 and £510 respectively – at least £100 cheaper than the launch price of the Galaxy S10e.
A further two handsets, the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71, also made an appearance with prices shown at €375 (£315) and €469 (£395) respectively.
Rumours have been pointing towards the fact Samsung is gearing up to release cheaper, likely less powerful versions of both its Galaxy S10 and Note 10 under the “Lite” moniker for months.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 range launched ahead of last year’s Mobile World Congress, followed by theSamsung Galaxy Note 10 rangein August.
In total, Samsung launched a staggering seven premium handsets in 2019 – Samsung S10e, S10, S10 5G, S10 Plus, Galaxy Note 10, Note 10 Plus and Note 10 Plus 5G – with prices ranging from £669 up to £1,099.
A month after its Note launch, Samsung’s biggest rival Apple retaliated with three new iPhones under the iPhone 11 branding – an “affordable” iPhone 11, a smaller iPhone 11 Pro and the flagship, larger iPhone Pro Max and it’s this affordable iPhone 11 that Samsung could be looking to target with Lite versions of its flagships. Handsets that sit between the lower S10e model and the Note 10.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite: Latest rumours
There have been reports about a new model in the Galaxy Note 10 range for weeks, after SamMobile spotted Samsung is developing a device with model number SM-N770F.
Using previous model numbering as a guide, SamMobile believes that the SM-N part follows suit with the naming convention of the rest of the Galaxy Note range and numbers in the 700 range have previously been used to describe cheaper models of flagship phones, as was the case with the sM-900F Galaxy Fold and the SM-F700F, which is the more affordable version of this folding phone.
A follow-up report, again on SamMobile, later revealed that this cheaper phone will receive the Lite moniker.
The most recent developments in the mysterious case of the Galaxy S10 Lite come from, none other, than @UniverseIce. The famed leaker has stated that the device will harbour OIS stabilisation, better than any other flagship phone on the market.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite release date: When will the S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite go on sale?
It’s unlikely Samsung would dedicate its annual Unpacked event at Mobile World Congress entirely to a Lite version of a previously released phone, but its launch could form part of a wider line-up refresh in February.
What’s more likely, is the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite could launch before the end of the year, during the holidays and at a peak buying time for brands. This had been rumoured to be before Christmas but the listing on Datart’s site showed the release date for all the rumoured upcoming Samsung phones as 27 December.
If this comes true, Samsung will then be in a position to unveil what is expected to be called the Samsung S11 at a premium price, offering a full spectrum of phones at different prices for different markets.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite prices: How much will they cost?
To price it competitively, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite need to be priced at around the £600 mark and prices recently leaked on Slovakian retailer Datart’s site seem to back this up. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite was listed at €669 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite was listed at €609. A straight currency conversion of these prices would price the phones at £565 and £510 respectively.
Anything more than £600 for the Galaxt S10 Lite or Note 19 Lite and it could potentially start cannibalising sales of the S10e and S10, anything less than that and it cheapens the flagship brand somewhat.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite specifications: What’s inside?
It’s not clear what Samsung will sacrifice for the cheaper price yet, but we’d expect a dual-camera setup and a 3,000mAh battery on both handsets. The Lite name may also refer to a smaller display.
The Note 10 Lite would also need to feature support for the S Pen, either in its current iteration or via a less-advanced S Pen seeing as stylus a major differentiator between the Note and S ranges.
Design-wise, the rumours point to the phones being available in black and red.
