Disappointing. Was looking forward to upgrading my G4 to the G6, but a removable battery is a huge positive to me – had a few times where this phone and others previously have crashed and holding the power button wouldn’t even work, so removing the battery to reset was the only option.

I also really don’t care about waterproofing my phone. Never had a water proof phone before and never needed one as I’ve never dropped it down the toilet, used it in the shower or used it when it’s tipping it down. Common sense means that you shouldn’t need a waterproof phone.

    Sad news …
I was considering buying an LG phone in the near future…..and now I learn that the battery will be sealed in in their upcoming G6…..
GOOD LUCK to all who go for this sealed battery syndrome in phones…I will be laughing out loud as I continue with my Notes 3 and 4…..seems like my Note phones will become like the antiques of the smart phones world. …I know that I will never fall prey to a phone with a sealed up battery.
I wonder if any new maker of phones will emerge in the near future who will bring out phones with removable batteries. ….
Is waterproofing a phone such an important selling point ? really?
