DAB+ technology might be better, I don't know, than FM, but it had better be a significant improvement on the user experience of DAB. I can listen to FM on my car as I drive around . I cannot do the same with DAB. It has dead spots, lots of them. I imagine travelling round with your phone it would be the same.
When it has a strong signal, then it gets a lot more channels. But the quality compared to a strong FM signal does not sound as good, using a radio with both systems.

With capped Data allowance Internet Radio isn't ideal for many. FM or DAB is still needed. I've never found FM on portable devices any good though. It's always constantly breaking up.

How is DAB+ for battery life? As DAB uses a lot.

"Apple has never included an FM radio in an iPhone and Samsung hasn't included it in its Galaxy S line since the Galaxy S3 in 2012"

The Galaxy S4 Mini had one. Oddly as the S4 didn't.
