my old HP, all in one, printer has been put out to pasture and then I purchased the new epson all in one printer and not able to deal with all the bells and whistles on it…grrrr, I just dislike it immensely and stuck with it until I find an easy to use all in one printer , preferable with inexpensive using abilities …such is my dream

The article doesn't address things like how much ink the printer uses when you turn it off and on and during it's checking cycles. HP printers are well known to be wasteful. You also don't address which ones can print black and white still with depleted colour cartridges. Again something many HP printers are can't do.

How can these be the best if they all have so many defects?

  4. Heber Fadel says:

The pros and cons of the Samsung printer are repeats of each other.

Why does it say this article was written 7 days ago but these comments are over a year old?

The best printers for me are the ones at a print shop…lol. No way will I buy another printer, and I haven't bought one for a number of years, because the friggin ink cartridges are a rip off. The cartridges dry up and become useless long before I've had any usefulness from a printer.

I think the personal printer industry is one seriously greedy industry. The ink cartridges are extremely expensive and become totally useless way too soon.

We use the HP 2055 in a lot of areas at my job. IT's a great little printer. For my personal use, I would most likely get something like that HP 7510, as I do want an all-in-one. My only issue is whether I want a 5 cartridge printer

A friendly reminder to always consider the long term cost of a printer! The best printer for you, might cost more initially, but save you money in ink/toner costs in the long run. It's always wise to check your consumables cost and compare printers based on the features you want and the total investment required! We find people can often be short sighted in this area and it can cost you much later on.

Can you please update the article with some ink cost stats? I want to know which printers will cost less to run over a few years.
