It’s hardly come as a shock, but Apple has now officially unvieled the iPhone SE during its keynote event in Cupertino. This isn’t a washed-up phone from two years ago though, but rather a hero product in a 4-inch form factor.
It takes the body of the iPhone 5S and crams in the smarts of the iPhone 6S. In fact, the Apple A9 processor makes it three times faster than the 4-inch iPhone it is replacing.
There’s also Apple’s M9 motion coprocessor, Touch ID, Apple Pay, iOS 9.3, 12MP iSight rear camera with true tone flash and 4K video recording, front facing HD camera and Retina flash.
But how much?
Apple also claims battery life improvements across the board, there’s NFC for Apple Pay and pre-orders start on March 24, with availability from March 31.
In terms of price, the iPhone SE comes with a tag of $399 for the 16GB model, while the 64GB model comes in at $499.
