    I kinda don't see the point of this. For all the accusations of copying that will come, it doesn't seem like the platform gains much. A bunch of me-too OEMs will get a standard way of implementing a above average gimmick but it's time taken away from genuinely useful things like multi-select. I think air touch is as useful and has less Apple Did It stigma.

    I also think it's a more obviously distinct interaction than press lightly, press a bit more hard, press really hard (but don't long press). Although I say that without having tried Force Touch; maybe it's genuine childsplay.
